Cowbridge School Universities Award students with Tony Higgins
(UCAS)
|
Aim
To provide a framework for the development, assessment and
accreditation of personal and social skills, and Key Skills at
level 3, through an activity based curriculum, as a
preparation for adult life
To offer breadth and enrichment with a variety of activities
and achievements which are formally recognised
To provide signposting for delivery of the Key Skills
Qualification at level 3

Client / Age Group:
- Students in post-16 education undertaking AS/A Level and
/ or Advanced GNVQ provision with the development and
accreditation of Key Skills
- Curriculum
2000 students

| QA Method
Following internal moderation centres are required to register
candidates for external moderation, 4 weeks in advance of a
regional meeting.

Structure
- Students need to complete 4
credits by completing activities from a minimum of 3
modules, providing evidence of action planning, recording
of achievements and reviewing
- Students need to demonstrate competence in the wider key
skills at level 3 for Working with Others, Improving Own
Learning, and Problem Solving, in relation to QCA key
skills national standards (2000) and must provide a
portfolio of evidence to demonstrate awareness of all of
the activities undertaken
- The opportunity to develop key skill evidence for The
Key Skills Qualification (Communication, Application
of Number, and Information Technology) is provided with a
framework in the Personal Review and Course Planner

institutions of HE)
